Government Advice on Return to Play & Virtual Games

Good evening

Many thanks for taking the time to attend the Community Clubs Webinar last night we hope you found this useful.

I have attached a copy of the presentation for you to distribute together with the questions and answers from the padlet. I will be uploading the presentation, RFL update and the answers to questions from the webinar onto the Community Club Leaders section on Our Learning Zone section. All Community Clubs have been invited so if you haven’t received an invite please let me know – this will be where we provide updates as soon as they become available.

Government Advice on Return to Play
We have today received guidance from DCMS around ‘Return to Play’. There are Q&A documents live and you can find them here. I would encourage you to read it and use it to advise your participants and coaches on if and how they can safely return to your sport.

Virtual Games
As agreed please find attached a sample of a virtual games session for you to share within your Club. The following Clubs expressed their interest in being involved in Virtual Games which is fantastic.

Beverley
Brentwood Eels
Brixton
Bronte Barbarians
Culcheth Eagles
Folly Lane
Guiseley Rangers
Golborne Parkside
Ince Rose Bridge
King Cross Park
Normanton Knights
North Herts Crusaders
NW Crusaders Reserves
Pilkington Recs
Underbank Rangers
Wakefield Hawks
Wigan St Judes
Woolston Rovers

If you could please email us with the age group you would be looking to run games with he can then send the age appropriate cards to try with your Club. If anyone else is interested again please email competitions@rfl.uk.com

Sport England Community Emergency Fund (CEF)
As mentioned on the webinar the CEF has had an extra £15m added to it, making it £35m, however it will be paused this evening at 11:59pm for Sport England to catch up on all the applications that have been received. So please refrain from submitting any application as this will only delay the process.

We will continue to update you as and when we receive any more information from the government. In the meantime, if any of you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards

Kelly
