It took a 78th minute try in the corner from Jordan Darwin and a superb touch line conversion from Aaron Hewitt for Brook to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat against a well organised Hundley side who gave it their all in a thriller.
The home side struck first in the 10th minute following a repeat set Second Row Man Ben Forshaw spotted a gap to over by the posts with Joe Heaton converting.
5 minutes later Brook thought they had scored when Ben Legge crossed in the corner however The Referee controversially ruled that he lost possession before grounding the ball.
With Jack Wilson and Cammy Tunstall taking Brook forward and Ian Honey’s quick distribution from acting half it allowed the space for Lewis Gartland and Mike Wynn to make inroads into the Hindley half.
Mid way through the half Brook crossed for their opener, a penalty for a high tackle set up the position and Dan Parkes scored a well taken try in the corner following a Mike Wynn break.
The home side countered and extended their lead 5 minutes later when Forshaw crossed for his 2nd try with Heaton again converting.
The game took a massive turn around in the final 5 minutes of the first half Hindley Full Back Damon Fishwick broke clear down the left he was supported by Joe Heaton who looked to strolling under the posts before a superb cover tackle from Ben Legge who appeared to come from nowhere saved a certain try.
Minutes later a huge Lewis Gartland kick was spilled by Hindley as they tried to clear their try line and Jordan Darwin was on hand to mop up the loose ball and score under the posts leaving himself with an easy conversion.
Brook went straight back on the attack from the restart and following a break from Jordan McManus it was Cammy Tunstall who ran a good line to score under the posts with Darwin again converting a potential 18-4 down score line at the interval had turned into an
16-12 lead.
As the rain poured down handling became difficult for both sides during the second half however mid-way through the second period Hindley restored their lead speedy Winger
Connor Law broke clear down the right to score in the corner with Heaton adding a touch line conversion and Heaton increased their lead with a penalty goal with 10 minutes remaining.
Brook stepped it up a gear in the remaining minutes and peppered the Hindley try line however the home side defended their line brilliantly.
The pressure told with just two minutes on the clock Hindley spilled the ball 20 metres out following some ferocious Brook tackling. From the resulting scrum Youngster Liam Jackson and Lewis Gartland made the space for Jordan Darwin to score in the corner and Hewitt’s superb touch line into the pouring rain won it for The Brook.
Lewis Gartland was selected as The Heatrek Man on the Match with Cammy Tunstall picking the Players Tisdalls Players Man of the Match.
